Looks Like The Best Way To Not Pack On Too Many Pounds While Cooking A Bunch Of BBQ Is To Just Squat Your Smokers

Cooking barbecue is awesome. It's just you and the smoker for hours. You grab a few beers, maybe a few pours of bourbon, throw on some music and enjoy the cook. 

Eating barbecue is awesome. You've got tender, succulent meat that takes you back all the way to the start of humankind with each bite. Wood, fire, meat. The way it always was and the way it'll always be. Obviously you add a few seasonings along the way and you dial in that smoke flavor to make barbecue as delicious as anything. But that pleasure you get from each bite is the little caveman inside your head that knows that this is the way. 

What's not awesome, however, is when your barbecue obsession starts to impact the waistline. The moment you have to move up a few sizes in pants and your shirts get a little tighter. Having a love for barbecue while still trying to stay in shape go together like toothpaste and orange juice. And what's even more difficult is if you love cooking barbecue, because all those hours you could have spent working out to shed off those brisket calories are spent at the smoker. So how do you do it? How do you figure out how to be obsessed with barbecue while still staying a swole god? 

Easy. 

Just throw your smokers on the squat rack and bang out a few sets of 10. 

If you don't have 2 Traeger's on hand, just single leg split squat the one you have. Have a Big Green Egg or some other ceramic cooker that's heavier? No big deal. Just goblet squat that bitch. Have a drum cooker? Bench press the shit out of it. 

We've spent all this time cooking up our food our barbecue smokers when we could have been cooking up our gains. So get after it, Swoldiers. Earn those extra slices of pork belly.
